Professor Snider makes up very good examples that are not from the book or draws examples from other books, which lets students see different problems from just the textbook. With that said, she doesn't respond well to questions, and almost seems condescending when answering them. Just do the homework and book problems, and the tests should be easy and straightforward.
Relatively straightforward. Just do the homework legitimately (especially the optional text problems) and the class will be a breeze, as quiz and test problems come straight from the homework. Homework hardly ever takes more than four or five hours a week to complete also. I never had any problems with Snider and thought she was an effective lecturer, although she can occasionally come off as slightly condescending when answering questions.
I made the mistake to skip the optional textbook problems after I found myself doing well in the course halfway the semester. It turned out the last part of the course was totally different from previous sections and since Snider didn't explain it well, it needed more practice on your own. So stick to the textbook problems they will help you a lot in exams.
