I expected Snider to be terrible based on the reviews here. She's definitely not as mean/rude as people make her out to be, but she's far from good. She's not a great lecturer and could be very condescending to students but the homeworks, tests, and quizzes weren't super hard if you were able to conceptually grasp the material. Prob is a class where a qualitative understanding of what is going on will be enough to solve ~90% of each problem, although you'd never think that from how Snider and the book explain things.
On that note, the structure of this course is terrible. For some reason the book writers thought it was a good idea to treat every problem as special case requiring a different method to solve but in reality almost every problem in this course can be solved by the same process. Once again, you would never figure that out from only reading the book/following Snider, which is why I personally didn't like her. It's less an issue of her being a mean person and more of her not teaching the material in the most clear way and instead directly following a very subpar textbook.
