Do your work, show up, and you will get an A. And learn a lot. Some of the discussions get repetitive, but otherwise it is a very eye opening and insightful class.

It is one of the best classes you can take in UVa. Easy but you learn a lot!

Very easy class. 12 hours of volunteering and easy weekly papers.

12 hours of community service needed for the semester. Weekly reflections, and a few papers that require a little of effort, nothing bad. Overall, I recommend this class not only because it's easy, but because it forces students to reflect on their opinions of today's biggest issues in society regarding multiculturalism.

Pretty easy class; definitely a GPA-boosting class. The material is also fairly interesting.

great class. as long as you're open minded, turn in your reflections on time, and pay attention a fraction of the time, you'll do fine

Great class. Easy and interesting. Just do all of the assignments and you'll be fine.

Dr. Bob is the man. He may look like a homeless guy, but he's got a lot of wisdom and really cares about what he teaches. It can be intimidating to speak in class but just get through it and get the A because it's worth it. Just do everything on time and it's a guarenteed A.

One of the easiest classes I've taken at UVA. You sit in a lecture hall and do pre-determined activities while having the option to participate in class discussions on racism, sexism, ableism, etc. You then split up into smaller groups to have a more intimate talk on these issues. A different topic is covered every week, and the only assignments were small reflections after each class and the occasional 1-2 page paper in addition to weekly community service. Your group leader checks everything, but it's basically just for completion. Do all this and it's a guaranteed A. That being said, the class makes you confront some uncomfortable topics such as rape and abuse that would just be swept under the rug in any other setting. Some of the stories people shared were interesting and some of the activities we did in class were eye-opening. (you'll just have to take it to see what I'm talking about!)
