Let me first start off on a positive note and say that Zhou Zhang is a great TA I would take it with her again if I were to do the class over. She will make a great econ professor one day.
Now for professor Coppock I really hate how he has a double faced personality. He comes off as a fair, funny, and comforting teacher that you can trust at first but then when the exam comes intentionally(and he has admitted this himself)try's to trump you with hard/tricky questions. These are questions that you cannot prepare for as they are related but not taught in class. His lectures are phenomenal but he falsely leads students to believe that they will be prepared for his unfair exams. Watch out for the final because he uses that as a means to really mess up everyone.
Mr. Coppock has the ability to make the entire hall engage in his lectures and make slides that are straight to the point. Although the exam questions came from different slides and were supposed to be challenging, I sometimes find the questions easy to "guess." The fact that I didn't need to understand everything taught in the class to get an A makes the class less rewarding. But then again, it's probably one of the most popular courses on grounds. Given that, this class was great and I highly recommend it!
Coppick is a great lecturer, enthusiastic and funny and is able to keep a 500 person lecture hall engaged. However, his tests are somewhat tricky and even if you know the material you really have to think through questions on the tests. That being said, every test question comes from the lecture so there is no point in reading the book, which is a nice change from Elzinga.
Just how hard was the final? Was it based on details from the textbook and/or the slides? Is going thoroughly over the textbook necessary for the quizzes and exam, or do his slides have all the information?
