Definitely different than her Comm Law 1 class, but a lot of the same structure. It's the same ridiculously fast note taking, except instead of quizzes every Wednesday, we had 4 case studies due throughout the semester that were really easy to do well in. Cheat sheets are way easier to complete, but theres way more information than Comm Law 1. Just like before, an A is a 95, so unless you get above a 95 on both exams and the final you'll probably be a little disappointed with your final score. Sherri is still great, a lot more fun with her comm law 2 kids.
If you liked Comm Law I, you definitely need to take this course. It's way better for a number of reasons: 1) Taught in a smaller setting so Sherri is way more lax and funny. She always let us out about 15 minutes early. 2)Mine was taught in the comm school so we had comfortable desk chairs instead of being packed like sardines into Wilson 402. 3) You can type your cheat sheets which makes it way easier at the end of the semester when you already have 80% of the class typed up. 4) Instead of weekly quizzes, we had 6 take homes spread throughout the semester. 10/10 would recommend
Personally, I feel like I played myself. I didn’t really love comm law 1 (the exams were a grind to prepare for and I thought the lectures were pretty boring) but I didn’t know what other course to fill my schedule with so I took comm law 2. And I should’ve learned my lesson the first time bc CL2 isn’t any better. CL2 imo was even way more boring because it was actually business law this time (shocker) while CL1 included more interesting (IMO) case law and constitutional information. But yeah, should’ve stopped at CL1 lol. The exams are low key hard imo and the cutoff for an A is so high. Prof Moore is a wonderful person tho and take it if you really enjoyed CL1! Also taking such a long final online this semester was really rough... but in CL2 you do get applicable real world legal information which could be really helpful in the future.
pretty much the same set up as comm law 1-- professor moore lectured on the outlines posted on collab and there were 5 quizzes and 3 exams (including the final). there was also a group project assignment that seemed... a little thrown together in the middle of the semester. the grading for that was pretty generous so long as you did the assignment, but just know there is that. there was only 1 assigned reading and it was for the second to last day of the semester. definitely a lot of stuff to know, but we were able to type our notes in lecture and use a typed up sheet of notes on all of the exams. if you liked CL1, you'll enjoy it.
