CHEM 5710

Chem 551 and Professor Allen are the most demanded in the chemistry department. No exams, no finals, just attendance and 2 group presentations. You might as well call Chem 551 Intro. into Forensics instead of Instrumental Methods of Analysis as well.

Allen really likes to make sure his students understand the material. Hes a great guy. His course teaches you about real life, hands on approaches to science. Awesome class.

All about attendance and two presentations.

Easy A for sure

definitely take this class. professor allen is great. he makes sure you understand the material that is being presented, but above all else, this class is very easy. just clickers for attendance and 2 easy presentations.

This class is so easy, it might as well being in the comm school. Two presentations graded on effort (half the people did not know what they were talking about) and attendance are all that matter. This class was so boring, I couldn't even do the attendance part. The funny thing is that he knows its easy and why people take it, so take advantage of this while it exists.

In three words: Just take it. Warning: you won't really learn much, but you will do well. Requirements: Attendance (checked with clickers-can miss 3 classes), two group powerpoint presentations, and notes from presentations are due. Prof. Allen is very nice and accomplished, fun to talk to.

It's an interesting sounding course, for sure. Forensic Chemistry sounds amazing. This being said, he fails to mention papers, projects, and quizzes that he's going to give at the beginning of the semester. Are they hard? No. But it tends to be much more work than he lets on. Also, Friday classes are a must, since clicker attendance is taken.

I've had classes with many of the chemistry professors and he is absolutely the worst. Actually tied with Mura.

Easy, Easy Easy class. No exams, readings or homework. Just a few simple group presentations and you might not even have to present. Fun class
