Further study of the theoretical basis of the Army Leadership Requirements Model explores the dynamics of adaptive leadership in the context of military operations. Cadets develop greater self awareness of their leadership styles and practice communication and team building skills.

Course Description: Physics 2010 and 2020 constitute a terminal course sequence covering the principles of mechanics, heat, electricity and magnetism, optics, atomic, solid state, nuclear, and particle physics. A working knowledge of arithmetic, elementary algebra, and trigonometry is essential. PHYS 2010, 2020, in conjunction with the laboratories PHYS 2030, 2040, satisfy the physics requirement of medical and dental schools. PHYS 1425 or PHYS 2010 should be completed before taking PHYS 2020.

Course Description: KICH 2020 is the capstone course in a four-part sequence in K'iche', a Maya language spoken by a million people in western Guatemala. Students will build from earlier coursework to write an original essay in the target language, integrating primary and secondary sources like published works and interviews that they conduct. The class is offered as part of the UVa-Duke-Vanderbilt consortium for distance learning in LCTLs. The completion of KICH 1010, 1020 and 2010 with a grade of C- or higher.
