Theories of Modern Landscape Architecture

Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): LAR 5120 or instructor permission

Lectures and discussions sections examining the interrelationships between modern designed landscapes, and the theoretical texts that influenced, or were influenced by them. Readings include primary sources, such as, design treatises, manifestos, park reports and essays, as well as related texts in ecology, art, architecture, geography. Graduate course will have additional course requirements.
