I loved this course! I now a lot of students were turned off by the 4 mini-papers, presentation, and final paper required for the class, but for a 4000-level seminar class I thought they were very doable. I learned so much about public policy and found the required readings super interesting. The mini-papers are every other week and only 3-4 pages, which meant I only spent about 3-5 hours a week doing the reading and writing the mini-papers; besides, the professor is a lenient grader. Certainly, some weeks there is quite a bit of homework, especially for the presentation, but the workload is still quite manageable. Overall, I highly recommend this class!

You have to write a full essay every other week on the homework readings which says enough tbh. I wouldn't recco this course unless you LOVE policy like that because it's a lot of Education policy/family policy/unemployment policy. Len's a great guy tho so can't be too mean...
