This course is beyond easy and boring. No information is added during lecture other than what is already found on the powerpoint. Most of the information given is basic and common sense. With that being said, definitely take this class if you are looking for an easy A elective. At the start of the term you are assigned to a group that you have to sit and work with for the rest of the semester. Unfortunately, you need to go to lectures because you have to participate in groupwork that you are graded on. Or, you could try to complete in from home and ask your groupmates to add your name to the document.
Very fun and worthwhile class. The assignments are very simple, the material is easy to engage with, and you can definitely learn a lot in this class that is helpful for life. Professor Whaley's lectures can be a bit dry sometimes, but she really loves the subject and can really teach you a lot if you pay attention and try to focus.
Diane Whaley is a great professor. Many of the topics we covered in class were very applicable to life and sports. There are 2 exams where she gives you a one sided cheat sheet for both so they are nothing to stress over. There are bi-weekly forums and homework assignments that do not take much time. There is also a group project that does not require much work as long as you have good group members. Diane Whaley is also a good supporter of sports outings. Overall decent class if you need a gpa booster without much work
Extremely boring class, don't need to pay attention and you will do just fine and get an A. Majority of grades are based off of group work. There are 2 midterms that you get an entire page as a study sheet. Diane spends way too much time on subjects and the class is very dry. Could and should be much more interesting class than it is. Do not recommend.
This class is really unique and interesting. Dr. Whaley is so knowledgable and she really cares about her students. There is a good amount of homework and group work, but the tests are fair and the material is cool so I didn't mind. Great course if you're interested in healthcare, coaching, or sport performance. Definitely would recommend overall!
