A very good class, and a very good professor. If you have time to do the readings you will do fine. Some of them can be dry but overall they aren't bad.

Class is mostly theoretical so math isn't as important. The two tests and the final are based off of lectures, so don't focus on the book as much. The multiple choice final is hard but manageable if you study; still, don't put all of your faith in getting the Dutch Knockout.
Class was fun and interesting. Study for the midterm and final and you will do well. For the tests he pulls some random facts from his lecture slides.
A very good lecturer, a very good course. Not a very difficult course- all you have to do is be a keen economics student
If youre good at taking multiple choice tests (i.e. ap exams, SAT) you can possibly do the dutch knockout. But the tests are easy enough that this shouldnt be necessary. I didn't go to class all year and ended up with an A-. pretty sweet deal.
Textbook is basically useless. Coppock doesn't go over a lot of what the textbook covers. If you do anything in this class, come to lectures and take good notes. Read the textbook at your own discretion. Midterms are ok. They aren't easy, but they aren't that hard. Just study hard. Final is definitely hard. it definitely focuses on the last 1/3 of the lectures. This course is lecture-heavy, but the lectures are great. Coppock is one of the better lecturers I've had at UVA.
Coppock is a good lecturer and makes the material interesting and applicable. He definitely puts a strong conservative slant on the material, but if you don't mind that he's a great guy.
The midterms are quite straightforward, and the final is not much harder. Your grade is determined almost entirely by test performance.
great class but definately more difficult for me considering I had not taken Econ 201 but still worthwhile
Great class. Coppock is a hilarious, entertaining lecturer
