Coppock is honestly overrated. His lectures were good-ish. His exams were a bit silly, I thought. Sometimes the TA's will act unbelievably stubborn while grading you and will insist on 'a' word when you can explain something in many ways..all these things detract from the class' quality. Also, his syllabus is not very well thought out. He doesn't cover inflation very well and sometimes attempts to simplify concepts like a flowchart where events lead to specific, definite results but thats not the case in the real world. Id say that if you can find another teacher to teach Econ 202 to you then its a far better alternative because you will then learn it more traditionally and not in Coppock's way
Definitely recommend this class, even if you're not interested in econ
He was an awsome teacher. Make sure you read the text book and do the surveys.
Great class. Coppock's book is very consistent with his lectures. It's not hard to do well if you pay attention and apply yourself. The final is tricky, so don't bank on the dutch knockout.
Coppock's a great professor and really care about his students. If you put in he work and do the readings anyone can get an A, even if you haven't taken 2010. His tests can be tricky but having hi own textbook to read helps.
Pretty solid class. Coppock knows his stuff and has been teaching it for a long time. He wrote his own book recently which is pretty consistent with the lectures and exams.
Loved the class. Professor Coppock is funny and interesting. Books was an easy read and the class overall wasn't too hard. Brendan is a great TA. Had him for two econ classes now and he breaks down the topics well.
Coppock is a great lecturer and very entertaining. His textbook covers the material well but often goes off on completely wasteful and unrelated tangents.
Fun lectures and clear organization of lectures. Recommond
