This course is incredibly dry. Leonard routinely goes on for long lectures, even though he wants it to be a discussion based course, and I donβt know if itβs just me but his voice just puts me to sleep. The reading is a bit much at times but manageable and he grades fairly on papers. I will say that I learned quite a bit about the British presence in India from my reading of the books, not so much in class. Overall Iβd say this is a pretty average history course. He tries to boost your grade some with a short geography quiz and participation, because he doesnβt go easy on papers. I chose to take it for credit since I donβt think itβs a guarenteed A but an A- or B+ is very likely.
