I took Audible Writing with D'Errico to satisfy my 2nd writing requirement. The class had a decent workload, with numerous short and long paper scattered through the semester, maybe averaging one a week. The topics of this class are pretty interesting and I thought it was an easy 50-minute sit-through. The prof values participation so make sure you talk in class. It was a really easy grade and he's super flexible as long as you give him 48 hours notice for extensions. Would take this class again.

The special topic I took was 'audio writing - writing with sound'. It was pretty easy and was a nice change of pace to have all of our text be audio (for HW we had to listen to pieces rather than read texts). You are graded on participation so make sure you always enter something into the discussion board every class. There are 2 big assignments that essentially are the same task. You need to write (or audio record) 1500-2000 words on a topic that you get to choose while focusing on background noise/music and purposeful dialogue.
The professor is very sweet and fun and creates a comfortable environment.
