Personally, I did not enjoy this course, but I think it really depends on who you are as a person. Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur, but this class really pushes people to go out and start ventures. There are two projects during the semester. The first, groups were randomly assigned, making it difficult because many students do not have as much experience with group projects and could slack. We were able to choose groups for the second project, as well as the type of business we wanted to start, which made it a lot more manageable.
This class should be more case based, not as much project work. Many classes were work days, and Professor Ransler would give us feedback. However, I would've liked to know some more practical skills. The guest speakers were really cool though. Lastly, Professor Ransler is a really cool person, but I felt he was not sympathetic to his students. He didn't quite understand if someone was struggling (i.e. personal situation came up), and he would even dock grades for that sometimes.
If you are super entrepreneurial, then definitely take this class. But for management concentrations in Comm, I don't recommend it. There are other classes that are better. Overall, a bit boring and there is a lot of room for improvement in this topic. #tCFfall2021
