CHEM 1410

Gerrans is an awesome lecturer. very organized and clear, and sometimes he makes very dry but hilarious jokes.

Great professor that explains concepts very well. Some work needs to be put in to do well.

incredibly boring class, but gerrans is a nice guy. if you've taken ap, you can pretty much not go to class, read the night before the test, and get an A

Difficult if you slack off. Keep up with your work, and see Gerrans if you need help. He's a great guy to talk to, especially with his funny accent!!

Take Gerrans. He's probably the best out of the three professors (the other two being Grisham and Metcalf). I can't say he was fascinatingly engaging in lecture, but for the most part he was clear, and his quizzes were fair. Do the optional homeworks and go to discussion/review if you can.

Lectures are useless if you haven't read the information before hand. I never did so I ended up not going to lecture much. Only way to get an A or B is to read the text and do all the recommended practice problems at the end of each chapter.

Professor Gerrans is a great chemistry teacher who is extremely organized and knowledgeable.

Gerrans is so cute! He is very organized in his notes and is very clear with the information you are required to know on the exams. Also, he drops your lowest test grade.

The most WORTHLESS class I have ever taken. I went to a total of 5 (count it, 5) classes and got an A. Every time I went, I was knocked out within 15 minutes because of Gerrans' old man voice. Yeah, he's cute alright but SO BORING. I started studying 2 days before the test. I just read the book and did like 15 problems from each chapter. If you took AP Chem, this should be a breeze.
