Choose Whitfill for this course!!! I can't stress this enough, this is the one teacher who I wanted to make sure had a good review for future students. Everyone I've reccommended him to has loved his class. I came from a highschool with a weak background in Spanish and was able to pull off a great grade in this class because Profe Whitfill will genuinely take time to sit and make sure you understand a concept. He is one of the most understanding, forgiving, and enjoyable teachers I've had at UVA thus far.

Profe whitfill is the best professor for this class. He is super nice, understanding, funny, and if you don't know Spanish he will work you. I didn't remember much, and was pretty scared for the class but the professor makes all the difference in this class. He's worth the 8 am!!

As a student who has no interest in pursuing Spanish, this class was, by far, one of the best experiences I have had learning a language thus far. Professor Whitfill teaches SPAN2010 far beyond what the curriculum requires and adds his own spin on each lesson. He is extremely understanding when assignments are confusing and empathetic to students and their situations. Would greatly recommend this course to anyone.
