Requirement for first year nursing students, but the class was relatively easy (besides the class being at 8am). Dr. Evans is very nice and communicative. Take home essays and take home exams. She does cold call sometimes by looking in her binder of names, but if she calls out a name and goes unanswered she just moves on. Attendance was taken through a very short writing assignment at the end of each class, but as long as you make a friend to help you out in times of needs, you're good

I took this class as a third year in the College as a prerequisite for my Master's in Nursing. There were a few other students who were also in the College, but the course is mostly first years in the Nursing school. With my experience as a pre-med and taking difficult biology, chem, physics, and orgo courses, this class was a joke. If you have taken AP Psych, you pretty much know all the information taught in this course. Attendance is required and you will have a daily in class activity to prove you showed up. Halfway through the semester I stopped showing up and was totally fine. There are four exams throughout the semester and no final. The exams this semester were online and take home using a lockdown browser platform. Weeks where there were exams or fall/thanksgiving break all lectures were canceled. The only grades for the course are the in class activities, four lecture exams, and two asynchronous short essay assignments. Overall, very easy course giving the basics of psychology and development throughout the lifetime.
