MAE 3610

If you're an MAE major interested in material science, definitely take this class. I personally really enjoyed this class and Professor Kelly's teaching style -- pretty laid back but well-structured and not heavy on hw. Like most MSE classes, the midterm and final were worth a lot so you definitely need to put in the effort to understand the concepts. Best part was having a group design project something surprisingly rare in the e-school.

Fun and interesting course. Kelly is a great lecturer, and focuses on understanding the methods presented in class as opposed to memorizing useless data. There are only a handful of homework assignments, and if you go to his office hours he is very helpful. The only stressful part of this class is the midterm and final, as its on collab and involves scanning and creating a pdf with your work (which isn't the easiest)

Really enthusiastic professor. Friendly and helpful too. Midterms can be challenging, but not impossible. And he's a fair grader too. Very little homework. Reading quizzes almost every week, not too bad.

Would recommend this course overall for anyone trying to fill a requirement.

one of the best professors i have had
