Not too difficult of a course that gets both the historical perspectives discipline and second writing requirement out of the way. Prof. Guha definitely has his favorites so it would be nice to get on his good side. He does cold call during class but if you just have a basic understanding of the readings, you should be able to get away with it. Overall, a little boring and the course is not organized very well but worth taking if you're trying to get some requirements out of the way.
