MAE 2040

Disclaimer: I came into this class already knowing how to do CAD from clubs. Neal Morgan expected everyone to already know how to do everything in the class and was annoyed when we in fact did not know everything.

The homework for this class was much more difficult than the classwork. While, he would lecture on the classwork for the first 10 minutes of class, he did not explain the homework at all. Everyone showed up at office hours because of this. During office hours, he yelled at me for asking a question. When people asked questions, he either yelled at them, told them to look at the notes, or did both.

The notes he provided to the class were impossible to understand for me, so I had to ask a classmate to explain concepts to me instead.

This instructor could have been better at giving better instructions for the homework. He would always insist that his instructions were clear despite the many people showing up to office hours. Everytime he "lectured" it seemed like this class was going to be the death of him. He would always be condescending to students and say one thing they were having trouble with was easy. One of my friends was downright called stupid one time when they were only asking for help.
When he is not teaching, he can be a chill person, if slightly odd. The class is manageable, just a pain for only a 1 credit class.
