Sean is a very intimidating professor, but it's because he cares deeply about what he teaches. As long as you're willing to show up and put the work in, you'll be on his good side. Also, don't expect a focus on AAA-type games, as course content focuses more on indie and narrative-based media. Projects can eat away at time but are enjoyable and on a fair schedule; the hardest part for me was writing the 2-page postmortems afterwards. You will also need to make infographics for games you play outside of class. Grading is specifications-based, so you can drop a few assignments and still get a B or A.

This class is not hard, I don't care what anyone says. Honestly this is more of a rant towards like media studies kids, but like objectively, this class is sooooooo easy its just like a little work a week. Sean can be a little crude at times which makes people upset, but I both kinda blame him and don't as this field in general is often treated unseriously and he tries really hard to show that there is merit and things to be learned which I respect. That being said he can kind of be a hard-a** at times, but if you actually like a real human being and come to class than this class is objectively one of the easiest you'll ever take. It's AT MOST a slight busy-work class. However he is a stickler for attendance and WILL fail you if you don't show up.
