This was the first course I took outside my major requirements, and it was hands down the best class I've taken at UVA. Professor Fife is awesome and such a great person. If you actually take the time to get to know him better, it makes the class infinitely better. The class is one class a week with readings and discussion, where a good portion of your grade is participation. He normally has under 10 people in his class, which really lets you get to know him and each other. If you have an interest, you could totally bring it up to him, and he would probably go out of his way to look into it for a class topic. The classes can feel a little long sometimes, but he's such a nice dude if you are engaged with him and what's happening. I really liked the final project it was super chill and was with a group where you were able to do any topic you'd like, which let me explore a niche interest of mine with low pressure. Regardless, great dude and great class I'd recommend taking if you want a new perspective on investing and you're willing to be social / engaged.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH EDWARD FIFE. This class is defined by completely uninteresting material and subjective grading. Not sure if it's even possible to get an A. Trust me, steer clear of Fife
