Frau Zuerner is awesome! The class was definitely an easy A. The homework consisted of a few Lernen/Zeigen activities from the textbook due before class, some of which were frustrating to complete in terms of how hard or time consuming they were but otherwise were pretty simple. There is only 1 test all semester (we ended up having another "test" that was just a film review completed with a partner), and 3 projects that were simple to complete if your group put some effort in (2 of these projects were presented as well). We had a couple Zeigen writing activities completed in class. Zuerner is a very fair grader, and honestly, if you put effort in and participate in class, you should get an A. Zuerner is super approachable and I really enjoyed getting to know her throughout the semester. Her teaching style was different than that of other professors I've had in the German department, as we spoke in German the entire time and hardly reviewed grammar - which was hard when it came to discussing complex topics like history and monuments. However, Zuerner's super nice and understands that speaking is the way to learn the language, so won't be harsh if you mess anything up (and is very gracious if you need to speak in English a bit to get your idea across).
