This class is awesome, and Prof. James is even more awesome. If you are interested in stats, data science, machine learning, or anything in this area, please take it! You will learn the math behind these ideas, and every week I was connecting more and more to my ML stuff. Prof. James has a great curriculum where everything flows really nicely, and it just builds on itself again and again so you constantly review older stuff.

The exams are simpler than you think -- the more complex concepts usually have really simple/basic problems and it is really easy to do well. There is also a ton of partial credit and you still get the points for minor math errors. There is some problems outside of the exams, but Prof. James has multiple grading scales, and he only applies the one where you do best. He is super helpful and a great guy -- he walked me through an exam question 1-on-1 afterwards when I told him I spent a full hour on it (this is not typical lol). Please consider this course!
