PLEASE do not take this course if you can find another ENWR. Ope is a super kind person, but as a professor, she wasn't great at providing instruction for the course and giving feedback on papers. Our class was "using the body as a metaphor", which was about as ambiguous as possible. There were three required papers, all about 2000 words, and I don't really think she graded them fairly. I did okay on all of them, in the 90-95 range, but when I asked her for feedback on where I got points taken off, she wouldn't provide a straight answer. Her feedback wasn't clear, and as the course went on, she mentioned how she would become more and more strict on grading. My classmates and I would always be pretty confused on the instructions of the next assignment and what she specifically was looking for, and when we asked questions, I felt like her answers were unclear and too up to interpretation. Overall, you CAN get an A in this class, but I don't think it was an easy A and I would look for another option since its a first year required course.
