    This course provides students with opportunities to acquire the knowledge and clinical skills needed to provide safe and effective nursing care to adults experiencing acute illness. Clinical experiences in acute care settings focus on applying the principles of family-centered care and offer opportunities to provide nursing care focusing on health promotion as well as health protection and recovery from illness.
