Learn factors that influence psychological adjustment in normal human development and the relationship between adjustment and personal happiness. This lab prepares graduate students pursuing an Ed.S. in School Psychology with the skills to administer and interpret standardized measures of academic achievement. The lab complements content in EDIS 5040 which focuses on how teachers may use and interpret achievement data to develop individualized educational programs (IEPs). The class consists of a didactic component and practice administering, scoring, and interpreting achievement batteries.

This course is designed to help you develop the awareness, knowledge and skills necessary for competent practice as a clinical psychologist. We explore the personal, social, political, affective, and behavioral considerations of diversity and emphasize APAs multicultural competencies. We also examine the impact of cultural factors on ourselves and our clients; hence, group dialogue and experiential learning are incorporated throughout the course.

This is a course about clinical statistics, clinical research, and clinical practice. The central focus of the course is integrating clinical research, clinical expertise, and client values for informing clinical decisions.
