Moving through selections from the Hebrew Bible / Old Testament, this course focuses on deepening biblical literacy and sharpening awareness of biblical connections to readings in other contexts. We will discuss translations of the Bible; canonization; textual history; and interpretive approaches, ancient to contemporary.
