Barristers United of the University of Virginia

Club Description

Barristers United organizes weekly recreational pickup soccer games and represents UVA Law School in the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albermarle (SOCA). Our mission is to offer an outlet outside of the classroom to contribute to the overall health and well-being of the law school student body. In addition to organizing weekly pickup sessions, we field a competitive team in the SOCA unrestricted league each semester. Our teams have won several championships in the past. Barristers additionally strives to allow students to appreciate the professional side of the sport, historically organizing social events to watch televised games for both the U.S. Men's and Women's national teams.
