Pre-Requisite(s): Admission to BPHM or BIS Program

Introduces foundational knowledge and emerging trends in health informatics, and examines how information systems can be utilized to improve patient care, health outcomes, efficiency, and quality. Provides knowledge on how health informatics can enhance evidence-based decision making, cost-management, and performance; analyzes key issues in data management, and confidentiality in health informatics.
