Health Impact Assessment

Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): Instructor Permission

Students learn the procedures, methods, and tools associated with Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and systematically judge the potential and unintended effects of a policy, plan, program, or project concerning the built environment of a community. Students will propose, develop & execute a rapid form of HIA. Assignments will reflect typical HIA tasks culminating in a final report as a deliverable to community stakeholders.
