Course Description
Pre-Requisite(s):
one course in Media Studies, English, or a related discipline
A seminar on the theoretical study of new and/or digital media. Topics such as digital representations of history, culture, race, gender, identity, and language; the nature of new media; technological changes in media; hypertext as medium; online community. Some close readings of new media objects. Short papers, class participation, and a final paper.
