Euclidean and Non-Euclidean Geometry

Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): Some familiarity with calculus

Examines assumptions and methods in the original text of Euclid's Elements. Covers selected geometric topics such as symmetries, spherical geometry, curvature, the dissection theory of area, constructible numbers, and the discovery of non-Euclidean geometry.
