Course Description
This course offers first-year PhD students in History an opportunity to research and write an article-length research essay of publishable quality. Research will be conducted with the guidance of the intended dissertation adviser. A revised version of essay will be submitted to fulfill the master's essay requirement for students in U.S. History. Requisites: First-year PhD students in U.S. History or Permission of Instructor
