Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): Doctoral standing

This course is an elective for students who are planning to do qualitative or historical research for their dissertations or want to have advanced training in these areas for use later in their careers. It is designed to give students more in-depth knowledge and further training in the practice of qualitative and historical research methods in areas of concern to nursing science. Philosophical and theoretical approaches to the gathering and analysis of data will be covered, and practice in specific techniques will be provided. The course is designed to further develop expertise in students who have a basic understanding of qualitative and/or historical research.
