Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): Graduate standing or instructor permission

Students are introduced to the health care system as a laterally-integrated care environment, with a conceptual framework based on organizational theory. Emphasis is placed on the foundations of quality improvement, patient centered care, and evidence based practice deemed necessary to facilitate a culture of quality and safety. Students apply informatics in assessing the care environment and for improving clinical performance outcomes.
