Contemporary German: Writing and Speaking

Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): GERM 3000

Using mentor texts based on digital cultural programming, students focus on a range of topics of culture and civilization in the contemporary German-speaking world. Beyond cultural competence, the writing assignments test command of mature grammatical structures, contemporary language, advanced idioms, and punctuation. The goal, following Goethe Institute guidelines, is to write comprehensive texts on a range topics.
