ANTH 3240

Professor Khare was horrible! He never gave you feedback on the papers so you never knew what you needed to improve. When you asked him why you got the grade you did he couldn't even tell you! As a class we came to the conclusion that he rotated between B's and A's as he wanted. Apart from that the class was organized horribly and there were no rubrics for the papers. One day he would say he wanted this and another something else . The worst part is I learned nothing besides what I read because you could not hear him even if you were sitting in the front. I do not recommend this class at all with him.

One of the sweetest men you will have the ability to meet; however, he isn't the best lecturer. He is very soft spoken, and tends to talk for the entirety of the seminar. It is difficult to hear him, often leading me to zone out. Other than that, the rest of class was easy. Three papers, all short and simple, and a group project where you go out and eat with your discussion group. I know this class can be rather boring, but if you're looking for an easy A with low time commitment, this is the class for you.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. He whispers during the whole lecture so its extremely difficult to hear him & he always loses track of where he is so very much repetitive. consist of 3 papers, 1 group project which isn't terrible but he dosen't tend to give above a B+ on papers. This class made the two hour lecture feel like six.

In theory, this class SOUNDS great. It should be interesting and informative, but the presentation falls flat. As others have said, it's an easy A/A- but I am in class right now and felt the need to come on here. If you REALLY want a GPA booster, go for it. I honestly would pick something else. 2.5 hours goes by very slowly so think about how you want to spend your time.

The course should be fun, but the lecture is so boring... However, the group project is great; members will have meal together, record the process, and give presentation based on the eating experience.

Do not take this class with Khare! This class could've been very interesting, but instead he spent most of it lecturing about who-knows what. He somehow is able to talk forever about nothing at all. You can even ask him a straight forward question about an essay and he'll somehow give a 3 minute answer without even answering your original question. I was not very impressed with the material covered in the class either. The only redeeming thing about the class was the discussion groups we were split into and the group food project.
