so so so much unnecessary reading and the lectures are like memorized speeches so its pretty boring

Absolutely loved this class. It changed my perspective on American history and provides some insight into why the law operates as it does today. Be prepared to take a TON of notes, but exams are not too hard and both midterms were take-home exams, and there was a study guide for the final. The class often seems like a giant puzzle, but once you review and put the pieces into place, the class becomes more coherent and makes a lot of sense (I think my main issue is that sometimes the lectures felt disjointed).

Caires expects way too much out of his students. The lectures felt extremely long because all he does is ramble about a case. I actually do not remember anything that I learned from that class.
