solid teacher, knew what he was doing. i think people overexaggerate the difficulty of the class- understand the concepts and you can copy paste the process for each question. the final was ridiculously hard for no reason though, but points were given back at the end. the projects are dumb but just go to office hours to get help and you'll get a good grade.
Took this class in Spring 2022 with Li, which I'm pretty sure was his first time teaching this course and maybe teaching in general. He's a decent professor who made himself available but his lectures were kinda boring: he mostly just read off of slides. Tha being said, I would still recommend going to them because he presented the material in a pretty straightforward manner. I haven't really studied that much for any of the exams but I think I'm still gonna end up around an A- or B+ (while also having a hellish schedule). This class is also nowhere near as hard as people make it out to be. My biggest suggestion is that if you aren't good at coding (which the projects rely on) then team up with a CS major or go to office hours (I've heard the TA and prof were VERY generous on what they gave students).
