Worst professor I've had at UVA so far as a second year. Your performance in his class is heavily dependent on attending his lectures, which are apocryphal at best. He gives out countless required worksheets which aren't available online and he won't give them to you if you miss class for that day. He likes to deviate from the curriculum that the rest of the professors teach, adding on extra content or just straight up saying that a certain concept/section in the textbook WE PAID FOR is wrong. While the rest of the sections had three projects, Roman condensed the same amount of work into two projects and then also gave us less time to work on them. He is impossible to understand and I am genuinely concerned I might not pass his class this semester.

This class sucks. Do not take it with Krystofowicz if at all possible. All class he will face the board and derive equations while mumbling things you can't understand. And then you can't even read the equations on the board because he uses weird symbols that all look the same. Going to class was a complete waste of time but you can't skip because he gives a million worksheets. He also doesn't clarify which worksheets need to be done for a homework grade, and if you try to ask him he will refuse to answer and accuse you of not paying attention in class... Class has no structure or value and the tests are hard and unrelated to the material he supposedly "taught" in class. He is also very old fashioned and will kick you out of class if you go on your phone or laptop
I disagree with the other review. Homeworks, quizzes, and tests were always graded in a timely manner showing you what you did wrong. If you put effort in and go to his office hours this is actually a very easy class. Krzysztofowicz is one of the best lecturers I have ever had but his tests do contain proofs which ended up screwing most of the class in the end. I may not have done as well but I definitely know the material much better than anyone in Snider's class does. If you study the class notes you will easily get above a 90% on the tests. Prob is not like any other math class to begin with so you need to put in a lot of work to understand the material.
I did mediocre in this class, but not a big fan mostly because of the professor and structure of the course. There was not much feedback since all the homework was written and turned in on paper. We would have a quiz without getting feedback, or even tests on homework material we had just turned in last class. So I wouldn't really know what I am doing well or what I am doing wrong. Roman speaks pretty quiet so it's hard to hear him. He tries to tell you what's on his tests since he writes his own (and therefore they are different from Snider's), but I can't hear him half the time and he'll usually include some proof/theory/definition questions which is not something I really expect from an APMA class. Also, we didn't get any formula sheets whereas Snider's class did. The course material is pretty hard, so overall I thought it was pretty tough class. What helped a lot though was going to office hours with the graduate TA since I would learn mostly by doing the homework.
