Daria is a terrible professor whose disdain for her students is matched only by her arrogance. Probability is a very interesting subject, yet she manages to squash that interest out of the majority of her students over the span of a semester. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

Professor Snider made me hate math. She is condescending and rude to students who ask questions and is a master at making people feel like idiots. Probability itself is not inherently terrible, but Probability with her is the worst.

I made the mistake to skip the optional textbook problems after I found myself doing well in the course halfway the semester. It turned out the last part of the course was totally different from previous sections and since Snider didn't explain it well, it needed more practice on your own. So stick to the textbook problems they will help you a lot in exams.

I never was able to wrap my mind around this class. Snider was unapproachable and made me feel stupid for having questions. Everything was presented neatly but I could never gain any real understanding of the subject.

Relatively straightforward. Just do the homework legitimately (especially the optional text problems) and the class will be a breeze, as quiz and test problems come straight from the homework. Homework hardly ever takes more than four or five hours a week to complete also. I never had any problems with Snider and thought she was an effective lecturer, although she can occasionally come off as slightly condescending when answering questions.

The class is difficult, but is taught straight out of the book so it's possible to reach yourself.

Prof. Snider did an excellent job breaking down this course into the important parts. Her lectures steadily built up from the basics and were easy to understand. She taught fairly and was always happy to help during office hours. I would definitely recommend this course.

Not a very good teacher. She actually does seem happy that the average on tests is in the low 70s. 1/10 would not take again

Professor Snider makes up very good examples that are not from the book or draws examples from other books, which lets students see different problems from just the textbook. With that said, she doesn't respond well to questions, and almost seems condescending when answering them. Just do the homework and book problems, and the tests should be easy and straightforward.

THE WORST APMA EVER!!! This is the hardest and worst APMA I have ever taken! Snyder is also the worst. She has the rudest sarcastic personality. The test scores are very low. She does not curve in the end.
