Yikes. Prof. is knowledgable but very boring; kind of a cold personality, too. Lots of reading, some interesting, much not. VERY detail-oriented class; if you don't already sort of know the period, you'll prob. be confused. No slides, hand-outs are justs lists of names and phrases. Very unhelpful!

Worst class I've taken at UVa by far. Professor is ridiculously boring and an extremely hard grader. The take home midterm is VERY long and the 2 papers were based on russian literature and historical films (weird for a history class). Extremely detail oriented where if you don't do all the readings word for word you'll have a hard time on the final. Would not recommend this class at all.
