Professor Mahmood’s teaching style is very direct and straightforward to the content, but he posts his lectures so you can review the content on your own time. The actual content of the class isn’t particularly difficult, but it builds on itself pretty quickly, so it’s important to know the foundational material early on. A worksheet is assigned every class, which isn’t too difficult to complete. The midterms were fairly difficult and covered pretty much all the content that was taught. The msot difficult part of the tests in this class are the multiple choice, as there is very little multiple choice practice in class. These questions are highly conceptual and are worth 6 points each, and therefore can make or break your test grade. Mahmood himself is a very kind and understanding professor who will give you myriad of opportunities to learn the content and improve each day. Whether you need an extension or some other favor, he is very flexible and willing to listen.

Professor Mahmood is a great professor and is really knowledgeable about the material. His lectures are well organized and easy to follow. There are some in class quizzes through Poll Everywhere so it's best to not skip lecture. He also does not record so it encourages you to go to class and take notes. If you go to his office hours for a question, he'll take the time and explain it step by step so that you fully understand the concept. He's pretty understanding about any missed/late work but it shouldn't become a habit. He prepares you well for the exams and the final. This was easily one of my favorite APMA classes.
