Originally was in the other AI class that was offered this same semester and then quickly switched to this one, as all HWs we were able to submit to get a 100 and there were no quizzes or tests--just projects and Gradescope HWs. With that being said, the course was probably 10x easier with this guy because of that. I was getting like 100s on all the projects and homeworks (which once again you could resubmit for basically an A) and then for the final project where I had to make some AI thing of my choice with a group, I had room for failure to literally get a score as low as a 70 on the project and still end with an A (not that they graded as harsh to give a 70). I actually preferred this structure of the class because it allowed students like me to learn from their mistakes when doing the homeworks, which was greatly appreciated. The content itself is a lot of math actually, but not difficult math. If you've taken a probability class before, it shouldn't be too bad, because half the time you're doing basic probability problems. The one thing that was really annoying about this class though is that for the final project where you make an AI project of your own, you have to write a 1 page pitch of your project, then present that pitch with your progress on it in class, develop the project, create another slides presentation, film a video of your group presenting your final project, and then write a 5-10 page paper on your project--all very tedious and unnecessary in my opinion, as we could've just done a project proposal + project development + presentation. Also attendance is graded...All in all though, the professor is pretty chill in terms of his class structure and is actually a really great teacher if you listen to lecture. Like I said, I was in the other AI class before, and when I was in that class, I had a really hard time understanding what was being taught. When I switched to this professor, everything made a lot of sense and he's really good at breaking the concepts down and then building them up.
