Neat experience. However, Kaufman is really hard to push back on, and this class is not doing an objectively good thing. There are lots of problems he ignores and chooses to disregard. The class itself is a heavy work load. In addition to the weekly reading, weekly class, weekly discussion group with the students, there are pre-assignments, post- assignments, weekly journal reflections (that he reads), and written check ins. Kaufman does everything last minute and has very little organizational skills, so for example, this course was supposed to be 4 credits but he never got around to changing it from 3. We found out we had a huge final project due the last week of classes only weeks before (and it all had to be done with the students aka in two class periods). He definitely has his head in the clouds, but worthwhile experience.
