Professor Pisano taught this class very efficiently and she speaks English (always a plus in math!). You will get a lot of taking this class from her as long as you stay on top of your work and are prepared for your 4th hour quizzes. However, if you can take this or any other APMA classes from Mary Beck, do, she's the best in this department and really cares about her students.
I feel like Pisano has a terrible reputation, but I personally really liked her. She did confuse herself sometimes when trying to answer questions (but I feel like students that were doing poorly in the class or just flat out didn’t like her would purposely ask weird questions to try to stump her). Her lessons were always well planned and she explained everything that was prepared very well. If you are willing to spend some time to read through the textbook and complete the homework problems, this class isn't too bad. Also, the textbook was awesome which really helped.
She teaches from slides (available on Collab) which may not work for some students. I find it helpful though since I can pay more attention to the process rather than writing notes. Pisano can come off as mean and unapproachable in class, but she is very helpful during her office hours and will help you with any question. I recommend going right before the quizzes.
