Miksad makes sure you aren't doing other work in class, but he is a very good teacher and if you go to class, you will understand the concepts and do well. Put effort into the homework.

Miksad's amazing. He makes the material clear and understandable. Best Civil teacher by far.

class was pretty good but miksad gets to be annoying at times and glazes over things that are important and will come up later on tests. not the fairest of graders and the format for all hw and tests is awful.

The class material isn't that hard, it's just that Miksad will be particular about how answers are filled out on tests. He's big on showing work, even stuff many people think is trivial.

This was the best course I've taken in my college career so far. I had heard that Fluid Mechanics could be difficult and boring, but Professor Miksad is an amazing teacher, and his enthusiasm and energy actually make the course enjoyable. He has a great sense of humor and a great breadth of knowledge (including subjects beyond fluid mechanics). The homework assignments (2 per week, about 4 questions each) were challenging, but they helped me learn the material. You don't need to read much, and he tells you the subjects that will be focused on in each of the exams (which aren't very difficult).

You either really like Professor Miksad or hate him. He's a fantastic professor; do the homework and you'll make an easy A or A-. Some people in the class think he's not the most friendly dude, but if you stop by his office hours, he is more than accommodating and very friendly.
