PLPT 4030

My favorite class I've taken thus far. Very popular choice for PPL, PST etc. kids finishing up fourth year. The class will challenge your thinking and has great discussion and debate. Professor White is one of the best professors I've ever had, and exercises the perfect amount of control over the class and the progression of discussion. I would highly recommend the class, but to get an A your papers have to be excellent.

Professor White is such an inspiring yet modest scholar. He is always to able to identify the crux of an issue during the seminar and clarify for us some of the most provocative ideas in the field of democratic theory. It requires tons of work though: seven short papers and one presentation, but they really pushed me to stay engaged with the assigned readings each week (and they are great!). The class also offers a good mix of theory and analyses of recent political events. Highly recommend!
